Dreelan created a band with Hensley and Cuthbert and later added Jocky Jamie, along with the band Hensley auditioned for the 9th series of the X factor in London in May 2012.
He is the 2nd oldest of Union J band, only behind JJ. The boys define Jaume as the mother of the band because he wakes them up and keeps them on schedule. On the X Factor, he was known as Bossy Spice.
Members of the Union J band including Hensley successfully progressed through the next stages but eventually lost to GMD3 which put through to judges houses. They became immensely popular on social media, occupying nearly half of the online discussions regarding The X Factor.

As a part of this band, Jaymi released the album ‘Union J ‘ in 2013 and the album ‘You Got It All’ in 2014. Some of their most popular songs include Carry On, beautiful life and You Got it All.
